Radio Cherwell broadcast live from the main corridor in the cities John Radcliffe Hospital for 8 hours.
The John Radcliffe Hospital supported National Volunteers Week, 1 - 7th June, with display boards in the hospitals main corridor depicting the work of the voluntary organizations that work in the hospital.
Radio Cherwell had display boards up during the week and on Saturday the 4th June broadcast all its programmes from a mobile studio set up near the hospital's league of friend’s cafeteria on the main corridor.
Programmes included the weekly live broadcast from the hospitals children's ward, a special afternoon show featuring interviews with hospital volunteers. In the evening a swift move to the near by Nicholas Tingewick Hall on the hospital site to broadcast a live concert given by the Radcliffe Orchestra which comprises of hospital staff and their friends.
