Radio Cherwell Invades Childrens Wards - Isis Foresters donation allows award winning Radio Cherwell to broadcast from inside Oxfords childrens wards

Radio Cherwells childrens programme the Weekend For Everything Show will be able to fully broadcast directly from the childrens wards following a 4000 pound donation from the Isis Foresters last week.
The donation will fund equipment that will enable programmes to be broadcasted directly from the wards allowing patients to become fully involved in the production and transmission of its childrens output. Prizes for the children are also being funded by the Foresters - Presenter Jason Townsend said this is a fantastic boost to our efforts in entertaining the kids, which now allows them to fully participate and hear themselves on the radio The equipment will also support other ward based programmes we broadcast that directly involve patients.
Chairman Neil Stockton stated we are extremely grateful to the Foresters who chose to support us and at the same time help make the time a child spends in hospital that little bit easier by helping us take their minds off why they are there in the first place
Radio Cherwells output can also be heard on their website at www.radiocherwell.com enabling relatives and friends to keep in touch by sending messages or requests to any patient in Oxfords hospitals by calling the studios on 01865 225522 or emailing studio@radiocherwell.com
A person becomes a Foresters member automatically when they take out a Forester Life product. Every Foresters member belongs to a local branch that is lead by member volunteers in their community. There are 73 branches in the UK and 325 in total worldwide. Members take part in family and community activities organised by their branch.

You will initially be accompanied with one of our trained staff, whilst undergoing supervision training to familiarise yourselves with the hospitals and the work of Radio Cherwell and then you will be allocated your own area to cover. (Flexible hours: during the day or evening/weekends)

Please give us a call on Oxford 225522 for further information or submit our online membership application form.
