Fundraising

As you will have previously read, we are a self funding organisation run by volunteers and raise our funds in many different ways. We can guarantee that ALL monies raised and donated to Radio Cherwell is used purposely for funding the organisation and is not used to pay any volunteer for their time or expenses. In the past we have been involved/asked to help raise funds for a specific event/organisation both within the hospitals and outside and also in less fortunate countries than Britain, for which when we raise the funds this is made obvious and all monies from these events are passed on to the named benefactor.

Publicity

Publicising Radio Cherwell is very important, both inside and outside the hospitals. We generate publicity though various means; our website, our annual four colour glossy 'Patient Guide' magazine, our Listening News, our recent poster campaign, a 10 second advert on the new PatientLine terminals every hour, various road-shows held throughout Oxford, our attendance at local events and concerts - providing the public address (PA) or sound recording and duplication facilities, and not forgetting our involvement with the patients and staff on the wards within the hospitals during our 'live' broadcasting hours.

Regularly, an information update, detailing our involvement within the Oxford's Hospitals, is submitted for publication to the local Hospital Magazine. This is one approach to maintaining contact with hospital staff, keeping them informed of who we are, where we are, what we broadcast and how staff can become involved and assist our activities.

With the recently new poster campaign, which we are beginning to get displayed in prominent positions around the Oxford Hospitals we are looking for sponsors. For a donation to our funds, your name and/or company details will be placed on a framed poster within one of Oxfords Hospitals, either in corridors, in wards or within waiting areas.
